Something is different about Par...

Does Par look bigger?

We did just find out that our little monkey is a hefty 20 pounds! Woo Hoo!!! Thanks to Oscar Mayer bologna/hotdogs and sausage pancakes on a stick! So maybe that is why he looks bigger….hmmmm….
Is there something about Par that makes him look older?

He did just have his VERY FIRST haircut! Although I was fond of the traile’ -trashe’ rat-tail that was developing—it was quickly loosing the cuteness…and it was time for a teeny tiny trim. Par loves scissors, so he was a perfect customer! His haircut does give him a more mature look….maybe that’s it…maybe that is why he looks older….hmmmmmm…..
But I don’t know…it just seems like there is something about him that looks…hmmm…different.

Maybe it is because he has a natural glow about him now that Carolina won the National Championship! Par is their #1 fan and he and his daddy have been on cloud nine since the big win…so maybe that is why he looks different….hmmmmm……
But…there is just something else about him.

What? What is that you say? Ah yes…it must be that….it must be because
HE’S GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!!!
We are so excited! We found out at the end of March---and I am just about 7 weeks pregnant today! My due date is December 3rd and as you can imagine—WE CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!!!! It was probably best that our internet was down for so long because I have wanted to post this before now…but today is the perfect timing because Rusty and I saw our baby today and we were able to listen to the precious heartbeat.
For those of you wondering, but too polite to ask—we have about a 2% chance of having another child with CDH. We’ll know about that at my 16 week appointment with the high risk fetal care team at UAB (or at 11 weeks if my regular OB sees anything suspicious at that checkup).
So, being completely optimistic—we praise God that we will be bringing a precious child into the world at the beginning of December—and completely turning Par’s world upside down. I am excited about the idea of having a “normal” pregnancy—my pregnancy with Par carried a shadow of impending doom over me the entire time—I am prayerful this one won’t. We are so humbled that God has given us another child to take care of—unfortunately, Tiffany is not as thrilled about the news. As for Violet, she doesn’t seem to care.
I’ve been feeling fine—just tired and a little nauseous at night—but that is it so far.
Par has been doing great! We have really enjoyed the beautiful weather and we play outside ALL THE TIME! He loves to pick flowers, grass and sticks to feed to the dogs. He had a great time this Easter—he did well in the BCC Easter Egg Hunt—and then he LOVED the Easter Bunny—which is odd because he was TERRIFIED of Santa Claus…he kept trying to go up to him while the other kids were getting pictures. He just seemed so in awe of him—and we really had not even talked about the Easter Bunny…hmmmm.

Easter was wonderful—it was great seeing family—although we missed seeing Rusty’s Dad and Mary—we hope to see them sometime soon. Par was a little prince in his Easter outfit—Boo made the shirt and I made the shorts—obviously Boo had the more difficult part—it is absolutely gorgeous in person!

Congratulations! I had a feeling it was coming soon...

In other news, Par's haircut is so cute, and I'm so impressed you were able to do it yourself. And, Will has that exact same golf set (yay Wal-Mart), and he loves it! He and Par will have to hit the links together sometime soon.

Congratulations to you and Rusty. I know you are so excited about adding to you family and making Par a big brother. Robby and I are very much looking forward to the arrival of our second (due May 30) and Holt is estatic about becoming a big brother. In fact, he's already wearing his "Big Brother" tshirt every where he goes! Hope all goes well and you have a very uneventful pregnancy.
